Those are lovely, and the photo of the girls wearing them is the best. Seeing the two nighties on their hangers reminded me so strongly of how my Granny would make me and my younger sister Easter dresses every year (as well as Halloween costumes, and many other things). Having something made for me was a wonderful thing and I remember many of the things she made for me very well.

That is an amazing present. I’m sure that they will treasure it even more, because their parents made it for them. Your method of building them up to respect it as a musical instrument is so thoughtful. What a beautiful childhood memory you are making for them.
